Where We Work
Our programs span the globe with camps in 14 countries reaching more than 200,000 children. Learn more about each program by clicking on the locations above.
HOLE IN THE WALL CAMPS positively improve the lives of children living with serious medical conditions. This is accomplished through a unique, fun, and child-centered program model known as therapeutic recreation, which has been recognized as having a profound and positive impact on children's lives and their recovery. Our camps are places that are surrounded by love, trust, hope and – most of all – acceptance.
GLOBAL PROGRAMS Eight programs in Africa, Asia and Latin America provide targeted psychosocial interventions to children infected with HIV and AIDS.
FUTURE CAMPS The Association is working with committed individuals around the world to foster the development of additional camps. Each potential camp must meet critical benchmarks before becoming a member. We provide these future camps with program and site development consultations, staff training and goal-setting meetings. We look forward to expanding to Japan, the United States (Colorado, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Washington) and to South Africa.
GRANT PROGRAM Our Major Challenge Grant Program helps our camps build long-term organizational and financial capability and sustainability. More than $6.2 million in grants have been made to our camps.
EDUCATION & TRAINING The Association of Hole in the Wall Camps is committed to leadership and professional development.
