The Spotlight is on Hasbro
The Association of Hole in the Wall Camps has been partnering with Hasbro since 2006. Their generosity has allowed us to better the lives of children all over the world. Hasbro’s campership funding has sent nearly 400 children to camp, and since 2007, Hasbro employees have donated an additional $32,000. Moreover, Hasbro donates toys to our camps that help to defray their programming expenses. They continue to support our programs by volunteering at our camps.
Most recently, in the Fall of 2009, the Association was a beneficiary of Hasbro’s PROJECT ZAMBI Celebrity Auction, which supported charitable organizations dedicated to the care of children orphaned by the AIDS epidemic in Africa. The PROJECT ZAMBI Celebrity Auction featured one-of-a-kind, collectible elephants that were created by volunteers from Hasbro’s product development team. The elephants were autographed by world-renowned celebrities – with 100% of the proceeds donated to the charity of the celebrity’s choice. We were thrilled that James Taylor and Graham Rahal chose us as their beneficiary with proceeds that directly benefited our Global Partnership Initiative programs in Africa and Asia.
