Roundup River Ranch

Located in the heart of Colorado, Roundup River Ranch seeks to enrich the lives of children with life-threatening illnesses by providing free, year-round camping experiences with appropriate medical care that are fun, safe and empowering. The camp will be a positive, loving place where campers, their parents,

 The Colorado River
volunteers and staff will all benefit from personal enrichment and life-changing experiences. Activities such as boating & fishing, arts & crafts, horseback riding, archery and swimming will be structured to allow campers to experience success, no matter what their medical condition. Roundup River Ranch will be open for campers in the summer of 2011.

On the Road

Campers On the Move

Since 2007, Roundup River Ranch has participated in the Association's Camp on the Move program through their own On the Road program. Forty-one campers from five states have experienced the magic of camp over the last two summers with an anticipated 30 children set to attend camp in 2009. On the Road is a wonderful way to introduce our future campers and their families to the programs Roundup River Ranch will offer.

One of our On the Road campers wrote the following thank you note after spending a session at The Painted Turtle:

"My favorite part of camp was the encouragement everyone gave each other. One guy at the ropes course encouraged me to do it blindfolded to conquer my fears. I decided to do the whole course blindfolded and when I heard his voice while I was walking on the tight rope, I felt reassured. He and others from my cabin kept saying, "you're doing great" and helped to navigate me. Thanks so much for sending me to The Painted Turtle. " - Rachelle
