Jordan River Village • Israel

Located high above the Sea of Galilee on 50 acres of gently sloping land, Jordan River Village will be the first Hole in the Wall Camp in Israel.  Children with serious and life-threatening medical conditions such as cancer, cerebral palsy, hemophilia, neurological disorders, rheumatic diseases and heart diseases will be able to enjoy a childhood camp experience, while building self-esteem and confidence.   Jordan River Village in Israel will provide a traditional camp experience to children on both sides of the river, with aspirations of enhancing efforts toward peace in the region.

In 2003, Jordan River Village began sending local children to the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Connecticut, as a way to start serving children while they continued to build their own ‘Hole in the Wall Camp.’  During the summer, children from across Israel travelled to the U.S. to participate in a camp program that provided them with opportunities to enjoy a little summer fun with their peers, while building their self-esteem and reclaiming the joys of childhood. Today, the program Camp on the Move is providing traditional camp experiences to children all over the world, serving more than 360 children since it began.
